Might just be me... can anyone confirm, but it is running slower than a slow thing that's really slow and that has been fed on lead shot to really slow it down, whilst also having both legs tied together - just to be safe.

Mossy - it does seem to have off moments, you're right.
I actually had this down to being my NTL connection as I seem to have the same problem with the web as a whole, but I will investigate

I was ready to blame my connection at the office, but same now I'm home.
Still, might be a tad slow, but it works and that's the main thing.

I would say it has been very slow at times recently. I am on NTL also, and other sites seem ok. Seems a bit better this evening though.
I do get a fair few time-out errors on firefox, but only on DISCO3.CO.UK

I've just restarted the web server and database server programs - seems better.
I'll continue looking into the root cause

Oh and by the way ...the text sizes can't be changed either
Has anyone noticed a change to the way the 'New Posts' page now looks? The little grey arrows that tell me that there's something new to read in a topic seem to have a twenty minute delay on them going off. I've actually had to start reading the time of the last post and working it out for myself
