Nokia 6230i Bluetooth Compatiablity With Dealer Fit System

The latest Land Rover information shows that a Nokia 6230i with software version 3.5 is Bluetooth compatiable the telephone systems fitted to a Discovery 3.

My understanding was that the factory fit and dealer fit systems used identical core components although you did not get the same level of functionality in the dealer fit solution (i.e. restricted to Bluetooth operation only with voice operation plus the switches on the steering wheel).

At the weekend I got a phone upgrade and ended up with a Nokia 6230i fitted software version 3.7. However, I am unable to pair it with the dealer fit system in my vehicle. I visited a local dealer and they managed to get my phone to work on a vehicle with a factory fit system. They seem to think that there is probably something wrong with my dealer fit system.

My question is has anyone else managed to get a Nokia 6230i fitted software version 3.7 to work with a dealer fitted telephone system?

There is a software upgrade available for compatability with the 6230i, not sure if it'll help or not but it's got be worth a try. There was a thread recently about it that a search should find

Thanks AndrewS.

Can you confirm that it is the dealer fit system that you have fitted.

My phone has SW version 3.70 (not 3.7 as stated earlier and 3.50 rather than 3.5 is the Land Rover tested version).

I have the dealer fit system installed December 04. It works with all the Bluetooth Nokia's we have and a Hello Moto V600.

I didn't think the 6230i had a problem over Bluetooth... only via cradle.

With my dealer fit Bluetooth phone system I am now having problems with my Nokia 6310i and I suspect, based on responses to date, that once I get this sorted, I will be able to use my new Nokia 6230i with SW version 3.70 via Bluetooth.
