Looks like they are in the process of switching and the web site hasn't caught up yet; it implies 4x4s are covered as 'prestige' cars, though the policy detail is the old one and doesn't mention prestige.

The mention of Motors Insurance Company Limited rather than Car Care Plan does not imply a switch as the site states:
Quote:
Car Care Plan Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Car Care Plan (Holdings) Limited who also wholly own the insurance undertaking Motors Insurance Company Limited.

Well I've just rang on the renewals line and have been assured that D3's are still covered on the Finest Warranty at £419. She said she had put one application through today for someone else so there is no problems with D3's.
I asked if I was renewing mine today would it be accepted and she said yes and even offered to set up the renewal now to start in 8 months time, which I had to decline in case I sell the car but I was tempted to hold them to it now and might even change my mind on that once I've thought about a bit more.
Mixed messages but to anyone who is worried about the possible demise of this waranty ring up now and agree the renewal.
Strange how people are being told different things though.Badda bing.......How you doin'?

Hi all
I'm probably the one referred to in the earlier post as I phoned about 13.00 today and purchaed a new policy. As you say £419 for 12 months finest cover.
gave them my reg no. and they confirmed LR3 TDV6 Auto. No mention of not providing cover and the legal blurnb at the start still said part of Car Care plan etc.
I hope now that the policy comes through Ok

After trying the number 0844 573 8121 all day with no reply and having been told earlier by the claims line that warranties no longer available.
Just got through and spoke to a very nice man called simon, didnt mention the 4X4 word just gave him the reg. Finest policy starts on the 31st or so he says. Didn't even question my mileage at 59541
It seems there is some confusion at Tesco Warranty it would seem.Club Forum Criminal !!!

If the warranty IS still available maybe you should modify the topic title ... (stop scaring folks) LOL
Got mine on 8th Sep so should be OK until I change vehicle next year
