Waiting three months for LandRover watch tag; TLO?
One of my two driver recognition tags failed a few months back for my Land Rover Watch system. I was surprised as it hasn't happened before I wasn't too shocked 'cos I've already got through five of them, all with the same "There's nothing wrong with the system sir, it's just the batteries have worn out".
Edit : My so far unanswered question is; if there's nothing wrong with it, why does it go wrong so often?
I know I'm probably the only person in the world using them, so obviously there's going to be a massive waiting list, but is anyone else here on the waiting list for a new Tag? I'd like to think a three months wait was excessive, but the record so far has been five...
If I could reject the PoS at this late stage in the game I would; it's just not been worth the cost or aggravation of getting it installed. In some mitigation, the EuroCentral control centre that deals with the multitude of false alarms I've been plagued with has gone above and beyond in their service to me. It's just a shame that the hardware side is so problematic.
Part number is VPLDV0015; TLO can you please perform your magic and see if it's a genuine supply problem or is my parts dept as fed up as me with the useless system and hoping the delay takes it past the end of warranty?

just had a quick look round
There is a shortage of these at the supply depot but these dealers are showing stock as of last night
There is NO reason why your dealer cannot phone them and purchase one from one of these to satisfy your order.
I would normally offer to broker the exchange but i'm on 4 hours and counting countdown for holiday and you won't beleive how much i have to do before leaving tonight

Is the Landrover watch system based on the NAVTRAK system??
Only I have had NAVTRAK before & was happy with it. I currently have Tracker on theD3 and was considering Landrover Watch for the D4 when it comes.Wot's that in Old Money
