Were xenon's an optional extra?

My 2005 SE has the bi-xenons on it, but I've seen a group buy for xenon units.

Were they an optional extra? Or standard on SE/HSE's and and extra on the base model.

Or are the xenon units on the group buy a 100% xenon unit with no halogen main beam 57 RRS TDV8

Sometimes they were and sometimes they came as standard.

Bi-Xenon is more a description that then Xenon lamp covers both the low and high beam, by the moving of a shutter rather than a halogen lamp for one or the other beam.

The next option are adaptive bi-xenons which 'curve' around corners when you turn. Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

Cheer Bodsy,

yes mine has the flap but also a set of halogen H7's which cut in on main beam (longer distance lense I supose)

So the xenon units on the group buy are the same a mine...there's no 100% xenon cluster 57 RRS TDV8
