Mr Bling's DVD system

Lots of people have PM'd me asking about my DVD system, so I thought I'd put it all here.

It was fitted by the dealer (Hillendale, Nelson), or at least by a specialist to whom they subcontracted the work (possibly County Alarms in Barrowford?)

The system is made by Veba. The DVD player itself is installed in the back of the centre console, low down. It's a very compact little unit, which comes with its own slimline remote control. The screens are 7" widescreen, fitted in the seat backs, where they are less obvious to prying eyes, and less susceptible to glare from sunlight (privacy glass also helps with both these points!). The screens can be tilted, so they are visible by small children and tall adults, and all sizes in between! The screens also have their own individual credit card sized remotes for adjusting picture, aspect ratio, etc. The headphones are cordless (infra-red), and run on 2 x AA batteries each. The batteries seem to have a long life, because I've not had to change them yet! They also turn off automatically when the DVD player is switched off, which avoids the possibility of kids leaving them switched on and running down the batteries.

Cost, as an option, is about £1500. You can get cheaper systems, but the picture and sound quality sre superb, and the installation is very neat.
