To have stopped half way and then still got up is far more impressive than me just giving it bo((ocks! Interesting that you have a remap, wonder if Gary & Neil have? It was at the very limit of getting over the top and maybe that little bit of extra power helped us? ( + our superior driving of course!).Off Roading is OK.... But I'd rather be Boating!

It's really about getting a feeling for your wheel line and 'when' to apply the power and "when" to back off the power ...so hats off to Richard That bank became worse throughout the day and when you have a situation where there is the risk of a loss of momentum because of heavy rut pockets... the line taken by your wheels and throttle control becomes paramount 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I went up fairly steady in 3 low box and put my foot down just before the holes near the top but I ran out of revs and stalled it [unless DSC was interfering].Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. We tried no special progs and turned off the DSC...........I think it was just too rutty come 3.30pm and the MTR and possible the grunt of the remap made that little difference.

Exactly put Neil! No shame in getting stuck nor failing to navigate over an obstacle. It's just about having some fun safely. In the real world, nobody would attempt to go up a churned up slope like that if there was a safe alternative and easier way around it!Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. Since you guys have the experience , would a rear locking diff make any difference for this climb?

Great vid, I want to do it again, TODAY!!
I found that as the ruts were getting deeper I was just grounding out before the top and getting no traction even with the LTZ's.
As for "control" and "getting a feel for where your wheels are pointing"
What's that? Hheee. I just floored it and kept everytimg crossed.

Remind us, how many curries does Neil owe you??
Great day

OK.... I have to say though that it genuinely had not occoured to me about the diff until Promitheus post. The car is ex LRE so has the ediff fitted. I never give it a 2nd thought. I had assumed it was the Torqtune, (and superior driving) that made the difference. Should have kept stoom shouldn't I Off Roading is OK.... But I'd rather be Boating!

I could handle defeat , that's not a problem, I could handle the smug smirk on your face , but cheating I cant handle .
