How can folk vote I dont think he done it? It was the most clandestine investigation of it's time with no facts being put in the public domain, so how can folk say that???? We'll never know the facts other than he was convicted.
Maybe it's your spidey sense or you feel it in your water ?? Some strange people out there.

Personally, I have been watching the news with baited breath hoping to hear of a Libyan Airlines being shot down over the Med by some passing USAF Mavericks 'by mistake'.
Was that not how all this started in the first place I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

He is back home already, he was flown home in Gadaffi's personal jet and then whisked off to meet Gadaffi.

I'm with JMC on this one ...the evidence surrounded his handling of a timing device subsequentely found in the wreckage ....little is said about how wide the plot was and who actually constructed the device and couriered it aboard. He may have played a part but the extent is not very clear at all. There are likely to be others walking freely who have a greater splattering of blood on their hands.
If the law permits such allowances then our focus of anger should not fall to those who have to implement it. Change of the law is the only way forward.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

He did not have to release him. It was his decision and not based on any hard and fast rule of law. He could quite easily have done what Jack Straw done a few years back and said....
"Aye right, you'll never get out"
Shows how much of a M.Mouse outfit the Sottish Exec are. Grandstanding with their new powers. Shambles and a shame to Scotland. Another gaff from the SNP saviours.
I also believe others were involved and should have been tracked down. No chance of that ever happening even before today.

No mate, I'm finished with this thread. Going nowhere and I have strong views on this as everyone is entitled to so not getting involved in retorts.
Mohammed Al bawbag...convicted for his 'part' in the act.....FACT
Sentenced to life......FACT
Christ, one small tot gets abused and killed everyone bays for blood, nearly 300 slaughtered including kids and folk think it's the humane thing to do to let him go to show how compassionate Scotland is. Fek that. I've paid my tax to see him convicted, have his family over here to see his sentenced carried out. Just when it gets to the good bit, they decide to save me some money. Sorry, in for a penny, in for a pound.

My point John was that the law permitted the donkey to make this decision 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Yes DG your quite correct mate.
Those are the same laws that let the Glasgow airport bombers walk free as well.
John - no-one is suggesting that anything here is 'right'. My own point would be that this is an international political move and as such it is probably the same sort of decision that put him in jail in the first place.
I remember that night very well and I simply don't accept that one mans' malice (certainly not that man) contrived the event. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom
