What's off road sat nav, and also the 4x4 graphics?

ta,
Art

"Off road" navigation has extra features, like latitude/longitude, breadcrumb trace (with "get me home" feature), altitude, compass and a few more I'm sure (not played with it yet)

"4x4 info" is a real time graphic illustration of the running gear, showing mode, running height, diff locks, wheel vertical travel position, (if a wheel is not touching the ground or is hard up against the stoppers) what ratio you're in, gear, steering direction, compass.

Sounds interesting.
Does the sat nav also notify of speed cameras?
Maybe I was right with the HSE...

Yes but Not as good as speed cameras do
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I have a 57 SE.
Sat nav will not warn of speed cameras like TomTom does.
You need a DVD burner to add in Speed cameras as POI on D3 screen as all sat nav info is stored on a DVD that is under pananger seat.
There is also no way of making it 'beep' as you approach a POI like you can on TomTom, so you just have to stop speeding!!

Having still got both, I would say that TomTom has better graphics than the LR screen but I prefer the LR guidance as its gives better instructions at each junction. TomTom now lives in wifes car, so I am a convert.

I have also had the benefit of the Wiggs upgrade!!
 Cheers Ian

Stop speeding?! Novel approach, can't see it working TBH. Wink

Seriously though, perhaps the sat nav isn't as convenient as the tomtom - which in itself is a pain to remeber to update maps, POI's etc, let alone burn to dvd.

Going to look at some cars over the next few days but will keep my mind open. Thumbs Up

cheers,
