how to do you load the car in super-market

today i went for the first time in the super -market(new owner for those who don't know me) and although i was very happpy to see a spacious boot, I had problem loading the car with the items because I couldn't reach further inside. afther managing loading the car, it was very difficult to unload the car as well. I am not talking about height since the car was alread in the lowest position, but in depth

any solutions / tricks ?

Start the loading process with the lower tailgate up. You have to lift the shopping a bit higher, but you can reach deeper into the back.

I either leave the bottom half tailgate in the up position or I climb in if I cant reach.

You cant have it all you know, if you want a motor that has a huge load area and is the muts nuts all at the same time then you have to put up with a little undignified scrambling about now and again. Thumbs Up

Its all part of the LR ownership experience!!

Just a thought, make a hook out of a coat hanger and tape it to a length of bamboo cane. You can then hook the shopping bags that are out of reach 8)

We always put the food in the middle row, in front if the seats. That way the dogs don't have a sneaky feast on the way home! Whistle

My tried and trusted method. Large plastic moving crate. Lower door up. Load light bags into crate and slide to back. lower door down load heavy bags. To unload reverse procedure or better get someone else to do it.

I use an elaborate hybrid trebuchet/catapult utilising the tie-down eyes, the isofix mointing points, the cargo net and a selection of bungee straps. When I get home I use the indonesian child slave that I keep in my tool chest for fitting Safari RAIs to Td5 Defenders and get him to retrieve the soggy, shattered mess that's dripping down the back of the seats. Once soundly thrashed with a pair of old HT leads he retires to the tool chest, whimpering and sucking jam from his bleeding fingers and I can get on with yelling at woman until I'm provided with dinner.
