Can anyone let me know why I've just got an amber suspension warning light on?
The text warning says 'suspension fault - normal height only available'
I'd like some guidance before someone suggests rebuilding the whole car!
Thanks.

Things to check
1. Did you wait for the bong when you started the engine?
2. Could the battery charge be a bit low?
3. Does the fault clear if you shut the vehicle and re-start it?

I've never heard a bong before starting and I always wait for the preheat light to go out. The bong indicating the fault comes on after travelling a few yards in 1st.
Battery shouldn't be low or there's no sign of it being low.
Yes, it reoccurs after restarting.

Actually...... that fault could be the first sign of it. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Hello,
I have just started to get the exact same fault.
Its in at an indy for a check over and quote for ball joints, suspension arms etc - they are playing a bit too much.
Will report back on what they say.
Cheers

Probably compressor failure. Take a look at it under the car, its just in front of the nearside rear wheel under a cover (3x13mm bolts) With mine you could clearly see a pipe was broken and although the compressor was running it could get no air into the system. There are some photos on here somewhere that I took.

Just had exactly the same message on mine. I needed a new suspension compressor. 10forcash sourced a new compressor and came and fitted it for me. Excellent service.

I had the same message. Turned off the car. started it again, and the problem seemed to be away - BUT - it returned. At last the compressor didnt work.
Got a new compressor, and the problem was solved.
Land Rover should recall thiese early compresors - in my opinion.

Hello bigdave.
My car was just out of warrenty, so I had to pay it myself. Quite expensive. About 1230 £ all incl. Calle - disguised as adult.
