In keeping with the thread my right strut is loose ( about a turn and a half )
pardon my ignorance but when you are all talking about applying "loctite" to the thread, are you talking about plain old super glue or is there some special automotive equivalent Oh and I seem to have the same "fat" spanners as some others!! will have to take the strut off first.

Loctite - thread lock or equivalent compund would be recommended.
I've used some 'Loctite' 638 retaining compound that we use at work.
If you haven't got some why not try your LR dealer for their recommendation!!Some say the glass is half full. Others that it is half empty. I say 'Are you drinking that?"
Just thinking about a handy collection of these "what to check first and then frequently when you pick up your new disco" tips... Mine will arrive in April and would find such a checklist very useful. Maybe a sticky thread in the "Technical" forum with links to these discussions
Mine too, 3/4 turn to retorque. Will apply thread lock next week.TDV6 SE auto, Java / Alpacca
