Having just changed to the Halfrauds set 124 - I can confirm they are squeaky, rubbish and look awful. So before I go to the dealer and get some originals and just put up with the noise - what is the definitive view on what are the best options?

My point being that on the advice of the thread you list, I spent £22 on set 124 from said Banditos - and they are hopeless - worse than worse!

Ok so on that basis 1 person says they are great and 1 person says they are cack!
That's hardly definitive is it, more inconclusive I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

I would bet money that more people have been satisfied with the Valeo's aftermarkets than any other aftermarket...there are many threads about this if you look 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

My Halford's ones were the first thing I bought for my D3 because the ones supplied really just pushed dirt around the windscreen as they only made contact half the time...I suspect they had been on since the car was built.
The Halford's blades squeak in light showers, but make no noise in heavier.
However, there is an annoying occasional habit of the left-hand blade appearing to get stuck almost at the top of its cycle and squeaking the final half inch. I suspect that is by design, though.
The squeaking is not nearly so bad, now, that I wash the screen with Rain-x spray once a week.
Recently replaced mine for the first time. Went with the Valeo, excellent

I had a new set of the LR ones just over a year ago, did not comment at the time as wanted to see how they stood up to some wear over time. They are certainly a big improvement on the previous LR ones, I get the occasional sqeak but nothing like the old ones.
