bumper and panel not mating! |
|
I got out of my D3 yesterday evening and noticed that the rear bumber and driverside rear pannel no longer fitted neatly together (it is fine on the passenger side (LHD). I had just driven a home with a load of maybe 300kg in the back, lots of beer, wine, water and juices. Is this panel known to pop out like this? Took delivery 20 March, first 1000km completed, I love this vehicle!

the bumper is connected to the rear panel by a horizontal and vertical clip. they may have come unclipped. do you have a photo. if it has, its easy to clip back on if you do it right. if you dont, you can break the clip..... and its not as easy as just giving it a good push. Duncan

If I'd known I was going to be so thirsty this morning I'd have drunk more beer last night.

loading the boot shouldnt have cause it to pop out unless you dropped a crate of wine on the corner of the bumper.
either that or someone revearsed into you in the car park (most likely....) Duncan

If they reversed into me hard enough to pop the panel I wonder what their vehicle looks like? Took delivery 20 March, first 1000km completed, I love this vehicle!
