D3 cold turkey

I'm going to try and go a whole month without driving the D3. Total cold turkey. Shocked It's all washed and pristine sitting in the drive...may even tuck it in the garage out the way.

I wonder how long I'll last.

Will power.... Twisted Evil

do you realise you're actually wasting your own money by not driving her? Very Happy

1 months RFL on pre 06 would be £20 sir, and if it's newer than that you'd be chucking $40 down the drain,

also if you're on ATR's then you're going to have hell of a flat spot on the tyres.....

surely you should just take her for a little spin.... Very Happy

It'll sulk and have all sorts of problems if you leave it shut up in the dark all alone.

It's going to need therapy.

Go on fire it up just a little spin won't hurt

You know you want too.

Just some advice John from a man who you personally inflicted the same Disco3 detailing paranoia to after the first Kielder trip, oh and one of your fantastic detailing kit. Thumbs Up

Keep going in the garage and switching the light on to see if it is still as shiny as it was 5 minutes ago. Very Happy

Take it out on a very dry day with no flying bugs and drive it slowly past some shop windows on your way to your brother in laws and wait for him to tell how shiny and clean your car is then proceed to bore him to death with the two bucket system and clay bars Smile

The big test comes with the first rain and you pluck up the courage to take her out just to see how quickly the rain pours off the 4 layers of sweet smelling wax you have applied. Very Happy

Then the cure, if you can take it john with your new baby, another trip to Kielder or some such place, get it dusty dirty and scratched and the cycle starts again. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
You have been infected before, the big question.
Will you.??
Go on you know you have to. Twisted Evil

Laughing Laughing

Nothing sinister...

I've a mini D3 (connect van) that needs to see more action as I've had it for over a year and only done 2000 miles.

If i think it is going to sit still for a month, that'll not happen as Mrs JKP has already upgraded to it frrom her scenic for a month.

Q: will the scenic handbrake stick on and will it have flat spots on the tyres... Rolling with laughter
