Group Buy : Rasta Radiator Protection Skid Plate
Hi Guys,
I have spoken to Simon Arch, and he will be ordering some skid plates for me and other members. If you are interested, please sign up. Simon will confirm price and how many he will bring in. Indiciative price at this stage is around the $450 landed in Aus. , excluding shipping within Aus. As an indication, it is around $35 to Perth from Simon. Why is the fear of long words called hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia?

I am sure Simon has priced the donation in, as per the previous Group Buy.

Hey Pierre - first off, thanks for arranging this.
Having bumped the plate on mine a few times (and lost a couple of securing pins), I'm interested.
One question though - when are you looking to close the group buy?
Regards,
Rob

Hi & thanks, any chance of bringing in any of Rastas other protection plates, like the gearbox plate?

I'll second that - Simon, can you facilitate a group buy of gearbox plates?

Hi All.....I don't want to rain on your parade but keep in mind that your $450 plates will probable end up having $150 or more added to the price of each by the time they clear customs. First there will be GST and then possibly Port Clearance fees. These may not be included in the landed cost. Then there will be customs clearance fees and quarantine inspection fees plus the customs agents fees.
So make sure you order lots to spread these costs out!
Those figures are from experience as I just bought a set of Rock Sliders in from the USA and the fees and GST set me back nearly $1000 Life is short...get it dirty...as often as you can.
TDV6 SE, ARB Bar, Warn 9000lb winch,Kamar rear bar/tyre carrier/jerry can holder, IBS duel battery system,Safari Snorkel, Black Widow draw system, Cargo Barrier, Lightforce 240XGT driving lights, Hemma GPS, Tyre Dog tyre monitor system, Mickey Thompson MTZ 265/70/17, Off Roving rock sliders, Hannibal Rooftop Tent, Open Sky awning.

I just wanted to confirm which one this actually is?
There are two that I can see on the RASTA website:

Hi, its neither of your two photos, on the Rasta website its called the front skid plate, under your front bumper is a black plastic cover, which when driving on sand is supposed to be removed leaving the bottom of the radiator exposed to damage, the skid plate replaces this plastic unit.
Your photos are some of the other skid plates we are asking about their availability

Yes, its the front skid plate, the one which rips off when crossing flooded rivers and because of its colour you will never see it again (in the muddy water).
So if anyone finds one somewhere near the road between Mungindi & Moree (actually before Garah) along the Carnarvon Highway, its could very well be mine 8)
Haven't replaced it, as I suspect it wont fit once I get around to putting a bullbar on.
