If you fit a Bullbar you will get a underbody (engine guard) anyway.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Powella and others,
This group buy is for the Radiator guards, as per the picture I include. Perhaps we can do a group buy for the rest.
To answer the question as to "till when" this one run. I think realistically till the end of the month.
I have good news for those who have confirmed their orders, as Simon does have three in stock which he can deliver immediately.
I would however like to give the undecided people a chance to consider before the end of the month, so that Simon can put in the order with Rasta.
Let me know. Why is the fear of long words called hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia?

More feedback
Gents,
I have just spoken to Simon, and he says that he can get the new plates in Aus in under 2 weeks. We discussed the other protection plates, and all up they come in at a landed price of approximately $1800.
I suggested looking at Asfir, because the material they use is much cheaper than the aviation grade aliminium used for the Rasta products. He said that if there is enough interest, he would look into this for us as well.
Asfir does a complete set of protection plates, indluding a rear diff protector.
Anything else let me know.
Regards,

I have the G4 Warn winch fitted. Will this plate fit? If so put me down for one as well.

You'll need a G4 plate to fit that , but it won't make much difference
since the winch basket protrudes so much , it will contact before the Mantec.
Have you put extra seals in the winch to reduce water ingress ?
Are you using plasma rope ?
What's the constant pull time ( in seconds ) with that Warn ?

Neil, unfortunately LR want to charge me $1000+ for the G4 version

There isn't very much difference based upon this image between the two LR versions of this plate. I wonder how hard it would be to modify the Rasta one.
Regarding the winch, I was installed when i got it. I've only ever used it once that and that was to have a go of it before I actually ever need it. I guess that's a little embarrassing

The winch basket arms are totally in the way .
The Mantec plates attach from underneath rather
than the mid and front areas.
When I was quoted $1254 for the MantecG4 plate( non winch not imported
by LRA ) , I contacted Mantec UK and obtained a non winch
one from an agent here for $830 .
FYI you could get $2500 + for your entire winch setup if you ditched it.
That would fund an ARB bar if that's of interest.
What about raising the vehicle for poor terrain ?
It is quite difficult to wack the front ...... unlike the exhaust
I'm looking at Sliders and new tyres at the moment ;

I lost the current on on Fraser Island on the sand. My initial concern was to replace what was there to kept the s*it out of the radiator. Since the OEM plastic one is so useless I was going to spend a bit more and get something metal instead. This group buy looked like a good opportunity but not to worry.
LRA said they'd do it for me for $1k but I might try Mantec as you suggest. I'm sure I could have something custom fabricated it i made the necessary templates for much less than that.
I'm not sure i want to sell the winch.... I have hopes that as my kids get older they'll want to get into 4wd in lieu of sport!
i'm not sure if ARB have anything either.

Hi Disco Driver,
Take a look at this thread - the last 5 pages or so. Most of us did the install ourselves - easy as pie. Use a car jack to hold and to push up the plate if you don't have somebody else to help you. I fitted the plate by myself with the help of my trusty hydraulic jack. Obviously, it also helps to have your car at off-road height.
