Just an observation, but there are a lot of 'old timers' in the D3 forum sense that no longer post or not very often.

I suppose I am one of those that you mention. The reason I dont post as much as I used to is, there are a lot of members that are able to answer questions raised so I take a back seat. And TBH I dont need to ask questions related to issues as I know where to look for the answers Oh and I'm only interested in the 4x4 side of the D3 In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Andrew never thought of you as an old timer, more of an experienced member .... not sure if that sounds better
My comments were not meant in a derogatory way, as I hope folk realise that I ain't like that. The forum has changed a lot over the past 6-12months. It has moved away from being a forum of technical knowledge/practical knowhow sharing with a bit of banter to the exact opposite now.
As Ken says, that's the way of forums. Just a bit sad that yourself, Slimer, TFC, et al dont get involved to the extent you once used to, but fully appreciate your reasons why
I hope IMHO the balance does not continue to shift away from the technical side, there are plenty of forums to go to throw abuse.
