I think the 'air movement' definition is somewhat vague. Could be either ultrasonic or microwave.
My feeling short of asking one of the LR tech I'll see tomorrow, would be microwave with the sensitivity turned right down. Or both in conjuction as ultrasonics were notoriously over sensitive on there own.
I have in the past set the alarm with the dog in it (by mistake), and it takes ages to go off, if at all. So if you thrash around and it doesn't go off easily, it might be the tilt sensor triggering it anyway.

The tilt sensor is market specific - not fitted to UK models (except by mistake )
Likewise, the battery backed - up sounder is only fitted to some european models, Belgium & Luxembourg if recall correctly

"I Fart in your general direction" but with a French twang ..
Wouldn't that be a probem if it was that sensitive ..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........

Yep but what you're talking about is heavier than air so it's never going to trigger a sensor on the headlining

OK, So find the wires to the bleepy thing, tap into them, and wire a relay that sets off something really loud. Cant be that difficult surely. Or is the siren soo quiet that nobody has found it yet?

The bleepy thing should be next to the ABS modulator and uses a LIN connection and is therefore an addressable device, connecting a relay to power another device wouldn't work taking the lid off the aux. battery box would probably improve things though

If I actually get a reply from Land Rover on this subject, I'll let you all know what they say. Pity the alarm doesn't set the horn off as that would attract more attention than the useless waily thing they installed. It only goes off for 30 seconds too so seems to designed to not upset your neighbours rather than frighten off the scumbag who is trying to break into/nick your car!

When I've tried to lock the car with a door partially closed by mistake the car peep's or beep's to warn you. Is this the alarm sounder or the horn?
