Yeah, I found Cannington to be a bit far (at 700km). So now I go to Kalgoorlie which is only 400km away! Have a nice day!

i dont think you have to take it back to LR to get serviced as long as its serviced by a lisenced mechanic

We just had our 1st service @ 7000k. I have been using this servicing place for the last 10 years on our 1992 disco and have no problems with their work
Price for Oil Service A - 168.30. All up (even including the synthetic oil @ 11.00 per litre..... )
When we bought the car, we were advised that the servicing at the dealer would be $270.00 for the Oil Service A and then around $300.00 for the B service and 'more' for the C services. However, I called to book the first service (Oil Service A) and was told it would be 'around the 300 mark'.
Anyway, an independant service doesn't hurt the warranty and you get impartial advice regarding warranty issues should they arise.
Hope this helps.

Chris - I see you are in Melbourne. Can you tell me which dealer gave the free tint with the corporate pkg?
Mine only offered me the servicing and mats - how long ago did you buy?

Hi TDMP The corporate program (Companies that have over I think 1000 employees) gives you free services (1200km or 6month etc), but u have to pay for all parts, oil filter, oil, coolant etc, Land Rover pays for the Labour . You can also ask for a vehicle to use while yours is in for repairs, but not use about services. I also believe the corporate program is only valid with Land Rover dealers, not locals.

Norto, just interested if your independent mechanic was able to reset the service interval on the ECU. I am due for my 12,000km service in a couple of weeks and don't want to use the local dealer. I have acces to a highly regarded independent Land Rover mechanic but he has not as yet updated his Autologic for D3 compatability. Are you aware if this is neseccary or is the ECU reset manually somehow. I am currently on day 25 countdown for the first service which will coincide with approx 12,000 km and am just wondering what happens when D day arrives - or should I just read the book.
Thanks, Barry
