Thanks for letting me know, it's good when it works out like that (it doesn't always arrive that quickly, hence the 7 days message we give).

If you are struggling to find the right engine oil for your car, don't forget about our free oil advice.
All we need to know is
Make:
Model:
Year:
Engine type:
Performance modifications:
Driving style: (road / off-road / track etc)
Any other information that may be relevant: e.g. approx BHP if modified, oil temps if known
It appears to meet ZF TE-ML 11 specification. BOT338 is what LR recommend but that is dealer only (obviously).

Hi Steve
According to what I can find, the standard Castrol BOT 338 is a 75w GL4, so there should be no issue in using the Syntrans B 75w instead of that.

Hi, wish i had read this last week + AF are doing a blinding deal on service parts, anyways enough of the moaning, i got the oil and filter at euro parts price not so bad, but have a question on oil types, Disco 3
2.7 TDi
55 plate
auto
103000 miles
so i have put in this time Shell Helix HX7 AF 5W-30 which i think is Full-Synth, which i think will be ok, but just wondering if now my engine has gone over the 100000 mark is it better to use a slightly thicker grade and semi-synth ?Graham
