thank you Mr.Kergan

pictures at this stage would be very helpful -

..can't work out if the bit that you start yanking on is the plastic that includes the heating controls right up to the rubber mat tray or if it's just the inner stereo console bit - if that makes sense!?!

...also I take it all back about swindon Embarassed

I want to ask what maybe a stupid question here.... But there is a small rectangular 'vent' shaped piece of plastic trim to the dash to the left of the steering wheel. What's it for exactly? I'm sure I should know but maybe I've forgotten Embarassed

Sorry....only just picked this up again......

Didn't get around to pulling the motor apart as other stuff got in the way Rolling Eyes

Can you just confirm, if I disconnect the stereo, will it ask for a code to fire it up again?

The security information cards in English, Hebrew and Cornish, came with my machine but contain no 'Serie Autoradio' which is good

I asked the stealer at the last service and they said 'strangely' the computer didn't hold any info on that - Land Rover have not logged that information

Which makes me wonder that if I disconnect it I will be stump Censored ed

thanks all

The stereo doesn't have a code, so no problems disconnecting the power Thumbs Up

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Brilliant boys Thumbs Up - have been in as suggested - thank you wiggs for the pics, trim came away as suggested after much grunt - thankfully no clips pinging or plastic tabs breaking 8)

...stereo came out easy and have now ordered Parrot cable interface for CK3100 which seems to be the Parrot 'Jaguar' branded part of 'ISO interface AC0000050AA' £22 plus tax and postage!

Will let you know how it plugs in and if it works!

Its an easy enough job to be honest as long as you got the Jaguar lead, as you have Thumbs Up You can place the Parrot Blue Boxes where I have, limited space but it worked for me Thumbs Up

For the screen I used the common bracket we all use from here

http://www.dashmount.co.uk/

The Bracket is easy to fit, no holes required as it fits under the stereo torq screws the hold the stereo in.

Hope that helps you. Thumbs Up

Have finally fitted my Parrot CK3100 Very Happy

...but it's been a real faf Big Cry on the count of not getting the right pluggery from Censored Parrot

They sell what they call the PC0000050AA Adapter (Jaguar) ..but be aware Twisted Evil this is for the Standard stereo ONLY
not sure if this clearly stated on the Parrot site - but then trying to find any Land Rover adaptor on their site is difficult Rolling Eyes

only after you've got it from France via Germany do you realise that it will fit the Harmon Kardon with seperate amp Mr. Green but you can't hear the phone call on the stereo!!
Yes, thank you Macleod 313 I understand you were pointing me in the right direction when in you PM you mentioned the need for another cable!...doh! Soz I thought this was just 'cos you have a different Parrot

...anyway finally I contacted Cellular Trade Accessories in Aylesbury (ssssh! for the Trade only! Wink did I say that?)
..they sent me an Autoleads Transformer 06-018 that sits between the "Jaguar/Land Rover" 20 pin ISO that is fitted in the back of the stereo. This kit includes the Autoleads Cellular Interface lead 06-124B that links from that to

the Autoleads - Parrot to Autolead Adaptor Yawn

All you have to do then is decipher the instructions correctly, turn the page round a few times, make a brew (make sure you don't cut the blue wire) Rolling with laughter

..and cram and squeeze all of this crépere into the area around the stereo

I had one major scare when (gently) squeezing, and standing on, the cable guts into the space: The stereo slapped OFF with a nice amp blowing sound and the screen went dead Shocked
For a split second I questioned the need for phone calls from the car! (..and of course the parental information on my baby's V5)
then I realised it was just the 12volt supply bullet connector coming undone Whistle

So overall - Easy enough once you know what to do, get the right parts, a cow, a burco a catering pack of tea bags

Probably best left to a professional fitter (that has actually fitted to an HK rig in a Disco3)

Quick on-topic-ish question: someone mentioned earlier that replacement clips for the H-trim are in the region of a few pence each. I spoke to my dealer and they quoted me $6 each for the clips! Shocked We may have had crossed wires and they quoted me for another part of the trim, but the guy seemed to know what I was asking about. Anyone else had crazy price quotes for the clips or know of a related part they may have mixed up?

Cheers.
