Sargents will rent you a 4WD for CY but not for the OTL.
Water depth is entirely dependent on when you go. Early April quite different to late April for example.
CY is not all that remote, it's not like the middle of the Canning, you won't need long-range tanks or be days from a roadhouse. I'd take a sixth tyre and the tools to shift it onto a rim.
Snorkels -- do what Caver said. I strongly advise fitting a decent one for CY. Peace of mind cannot be bought once on the track.
The ARB bar weighs 55kg and you take around 15k off the car so total weight +40kg. Nowhere near +90kg. Suspect TJM would be similar.
Drop pressures and drive slowly. The Pen Dev Road is full of people who possess vision I do not -- the ability to see over crests, around apparently blind corners and through dust clouds. --

WOOOO!
Got back about an hour ago Townsville - Brisbane.... Better than Brisbane - Cairns Muhahah!
I'll quickly give you guys a round up of what happened and all that jazz! Pics + Vid's to follow once the rest of the group members get to brisbane on friday...
Stayed at a lot of road houses, camping was fun! Pormporaah sucked, no fish =[ A lot of croc's tho! CRIKEY MATE!
Archer River was very green
the D3 got soooo dusty, all the adults/kids where orgasiming over the rod's we got from the US and the new Tyres.
Only 4 car's out of our pack of 14 got through gun shot, one been our Disco 3 now nicknamed "The Praymantise"

I jumped of that cliff at Elliot falls.... *cries*
Most of all amazing trip!

edit: Land Rover will be giving us 5 new Wrangler 255/55 R19 MTR's as the one's on our beast have all had major splits evident in the tyres... Dad wasn't please to see when we finished cleaning the car.
