Twin Horns - only one works! |
|
H.i
The horns on my D3 are not working properly. Only one of them seems to be working. Is this a known problem?

yes this is a fault with the horns on disco3
take to the dealer and they will change under warranty
for the new horn with a new cone to stop the water getting in
i had mine done last year
even if car out of warranty
10min job while you wait.

well i found out that one of my horns doesn't work, so rang up dealer to book in. they said its covered under warranty (mines and extended one as disco is over 3 years old). i mentioned that i read on A SITE (didnt mention which one ) that water can get into the horns and that can lead to failure.
at the mention of water, the reply was, " ah, the warranty doesn't cover water damage". anyway its still going in for a look, as it could be a electrical fault and not water.
still, if they say it is water, i want to have a look at the horn to see for myself.
on that, are the horns easy to get to ( i haven't looked for them ) and remove to check for water?
