Get the dealer to do the rotary coupler modification. Affects the airbags and cruise control. Safety issue should be a re-call. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

[quote="belial"]Hi There,
On the way up I had the cruise control cut out and the air bag light come on...
I pulled over on the motorway and did a power cycle.
It fixed it...
The deal said it was a disconnected cable.. However 15 mins down the motorway on my way home for a 115mile trip back the light comes back on doh! - I pulled over and power cycled again, the light then came back on after maybe 2-3 mins later...
I got back on the phone to the deal and they will call me back on Monday.
Any ideas what that may be? is it serious? as in... will the airbag go off by itself.. or moreover will it NOT go off in a crash?
These faults are probably connected with the TR reposne work you had done. Did the dealer clear the fault codes after replacing the selector switch. I have had the same problems - the dealer did replace the front crash sensor but they air bag light and cruise control play still play up from time to time - but mine are related to HDC and TR problems.
You may want to look at threads on the forum relating the Hill Decent Contol problems as they are often associated with TR issues. Also look at brake light faults which are well documented causes of HDC and TR faults
Good luck

Did you ask the dealer about the rotary coupler.
It is a seroious concern as the signal for the airbag goes through the rotary coupler as well and if the wheel is in the exact position where there is no contact the aibag will fail to deploy.
I'll see if I can dig up a TSB number.

Just check your VIN No is in the range. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Hi chaps,
No since the trip back from the dealers I have not had the SRS warning come back. In fact no issues at all. The dealer gave me a call on Monday and we agreed i would "keep an eye on it"
TR seems to work fine now too. Thanks for the help
