I had a V6 in the UK and now have a V8 in Dubai. I will be happy with either tbh.
of course the grunt of the V8 above 3000 RPM is something way cool but then the economy and torque of the V6 compensate.
saying that, i can't wait for the 5L engine to come next year!nothing yet.

Thanks Clarabella,
You are right the tank is hanging very low for offroading. It will protect the rear bumper.Roel

I know some people have had tanks installed where the seven seats go. I think Raferty on this website had his installed there.

Here's another pic of the tank. It sits higher than the tow bar. Was thinking of getting a multi height tow bar to cover the tank up a bit.
The LPG filler has been mounted on a bracket because I didn't want the body drilling.

Roel & others with V8 & roofrack:
What mileage are you getting with the rack/ lights and G4 plaque acting like a sail?? I am struggling to get more than 25l/100km (11.3 mpg). But I do many short journeys between home and work (3km). I am starting to think I have an engine problem.

Seems a bit low, I usually get 14-15 pootling round
Check the oil on the dipstick, if it seems a bit thin, or the level goes up over a couple of checks, you may have an injector seal problem - Lewis in the G4OC had it on his.Craig

Nice installation, but where is the sparewheel? Also not on the bonnet
Here a pic off my fuel consumption after half a tank city driving.

LPG - Engine Check
Hi. had my D3 V8 converted to LPG but had problems with the check engine light - fault codes telling me too lean left and right banks. this is all to do with the fuel adaption that takes place and the ECU trying to compensate the timing of the injectors (opening time) to maintain the correct emission on the lamda sensor. if it exceeds a certain amount then the check light comes on and the car runs like a dog. lumpy and clunky gear changes the most noticable - general power ok.
tried changing the map of the LPG ecu and started to get somewhere but in the end the check light used to come on with petrol.
Anyone with LPG had this issue?
where did you get the LPG fitted and which system do you have?
Also had a big fight with Land Rover over warranty - they told me initially it only affected parts that could be affected by installation if felt to be caused by it, then refused to change a wheel bearing and later said the car 'operates outside land rover specification' and hence no more warranty!
Regards
Ian

I heard also that it is difficult and takes some adjusting to get the engine light out but it can be done.
Warranty is another problem but what I understood LR can only refuse warranty on the engine and probably will as this is the only part effected by the LPG. The rest of the car should still be in warranty.Roel
