Hi all,
I want to apologise for the missed thank you e-mails - I do try to reply to everyone individually but sometimes I do miss a few. PayPal seems to change the format of e-mails frequently so they crash through the filter and aren't obvious. So I'm very sorry for not replying to everyone.
For information, site donations are currently being used to develop new site software and features. The gallery is the first to be looked at (hence the thread recently).

I pay £20 per year to this site http://www.bikersoracle.com/vfr/forum/ and £12 to this one http://www.ukgser.com/forums/ Gives me access to a members area and helps with the cost of running the sites. Everyone pays the same and it allows the owners to budget and manage the sites easier. As a user I save far more than I pay so its a win win for everybody IMO. I know the owner of the Bikersoracle site quite well and I am sure if anyone wanted to chat with him he would be happy to help - no point in trying to re invent to wheel so to speak. I must say this site has been very helpful to me and I am more than will to make a donation.

I have set up an annual Standing order to Martin now. Its easy to do, and the Forum hopefully will benefit with more injections of funds.
Its purely voluntary I agree, but the help and assistance the more established members have given me have saved me many ££££££'s, so if any other members thinking about helping Martin in his quest of moving the site onward, get ya dosh out
Cheers Martin & Mods

BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have bumped this as to add value to this site. As we are all aware that there could be a possability of the D3 forum not co-existing with the D4 forum, and in my opinion the knowlege is to good to loose.
There are many new members ontop of the older members that are still newbies to the originals. Maybe WE ALL need to look at ourselves now to asking why this site may close.
The D4 is the future, love it or hate it, the decision has been made at LR and Martin and the Mods need now to react quickly before being on the back foot. And none would beleive how much it costs to set up and run the Disco3 forum.
So where does the money come from , it comes from Sponsers at the top, to the remains of the kitty at meets. But how many members donate MONTHLY , I do, but can you truly say you do too.
Martin is'nt after mountains of dosh per person, he never asks TBH, if you buy a couple of LR mags a month that would be sufficient. Its easy to do, either by BACS, Paypal or cheque.
SO IF YOU WANT TO SEE DISCO3 SURVIVE ON ITS OWN, WE NEED TO SUPPLY MARTIN THE FUNDS TO KEEP IT ALIVE.
Lets add value now to this site, at some point we have ALL been guilty of take take take, PLEASE DONATE
Jason
