I prefer the direct approach, handing them man some cash in a pub
Just glad the SE meets don't take place in Brighton - that kind of activitycan be misconstrued I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Problem is
you hand a man some cash in a pub
next thing you be getting 12", like what happened in Wales in '91

Since then we've had an abundance of newbies join the site.
This is a notification/prompt that you too can enhance the quality of this site by showing your appreciation in terms of a donation ... which Martin greatly appreciates.
far cheaper than the cost of a couple of dirty porn mags ... but with far more excitement!!
I donated as a newbie but didn't get any acknowledgement of donation or a thank you

Well, if you donate again and let us know, we'll all give you a pat on the back. Dry your tears, dear chap.

Well from all of us at the forum we thank you for donating
TBH I have never worried about being thanked for donating to the forum... I'm just happy inside that I did
Although does say thanks on the Donate page though...

Sorry my point was I sent money directly via BACS (saved on commissions). I pm'ed the person who runs the donations asking for acknowledgement of receipt of the money (as it was the first time I had done this, a fair question?). I did by PM but got no respnse to my PM? I was a little surprised I got no repsonse, hey maybe he's rich?
