EPB use it or not?

Ok so I havent been on here long and it seems like everyone has a problem at some point with there EPB.

I live in flat Florida and rarely ever park on a hill or any type of incline. Would it be better off not using it? Unless I'm on a hill.

Whats a better theroy do you think;

The less you use it the less chace it will fail...
or
If you dont use it enough it will fail..

Very Happy

I reckon I could count the number of times that I've used my EPB in almost three years on my fingers and toes alone.

I use mine much more in winter when I'm driving (or at least waiting at traffic lights) in the dark to avoid dazzling the person behind me. If only the people in front would show the same courtesy Evil or Very Mad

And because I'm not superstitious, I can say that it's working perfectly at the moment Thumbs Up

Don't use it too much or too little, or it will fail Wink

I use mine all the time at lights, junctions and when parked up. Only issues I had is after offroading thru water/mud and I get the squeal. Just needs cleaning by the stealer.

I use mine all the time, every day. Had a squealer and then just adjusted it been fine ever since. If I get the issue again, I'll adjust them again No Problem.

Squealed on me twice two years ago. Dealership fixed it and it has been fine since. I use it everytime I park.

Never use it and I'm now out of the habit of applying.

Even after Tong lake, when I tried it on purpose it didn't scream.

Mine is used always. Its a manual. Use to start off on hill starts using the 'assist mode' and also use it to show off the emergency stop Wink

I use mine loads, and always at traffic lights unless it's a bmw behind me when I wont use it as I like to see them squint. Mr. Green

Only have squeals at crawling speeds, its started in the last month, so far I've turned the volume up on the music system and can no longer hear them

I use mine all the time. Had a squealer within my first year of ownership that was fixed under warranty and it's been fine ever since (3+ years and 48K miles).
Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills Smile
