Low Ratio and Gras-Gravel,Snow Setting? |
|
SWMBO is towing a horsebox tomorrow morning so just tried out the low ratio gearing as she will be towing the box very slowly along a single track bumpy road for the first half mile. I also used the Grass-Gravel, Snow program as the road may be icy, however the car then seemed to be lower and scraped the speed humps. Does the car lower down in this setting and why?
Sorry if its an easy question but this is all new to me
Thanks in advance.

GGS and Low Range selection doesn't raise the ride height automagically like Mud & Ruts & Rock Crawl.
Always best to double check the setting or just flip the paddle to ensure your raised if needed.
Also... if you scrapped speed bumps it sounds like you may have accidently set the suspension to access height on your test drive.

Should be standard height. IIRC, If towing electrics are set up correctly, use of TR programmes will prevent extended mode height as there is a risk of trailer rear grounding.
Are you sure suspension was at normal setting? Renny Thomson
