D3 Terrain Special programs off? |
|
Hi
This is probably going to be a very stupid question but I am a bit stumpted as I have read all the documentation but cant seem to find the answer.
If i try and select any of the Terrain response programs like mud ruts or whatever all i get on the computer display is "Special programs off"
Cant remember the exact message but thats the jist of it. I have tried this in Drive and park etc with engine on.
Is it possible that this has some how been disabled? or am i blind and I have missed a "master switch" some where?
Any help greatly appreciated!
B

No faults from computer reported suspension lowers and raises fine and automatically everything else works just fine.

Are you turning the knob anti-clockwise by any chance ? .

You should never argue with idiots because they will just drag you down to their level....then beat you with experience !

When you turn it to one of the TRprograms - lets say Mud & Ruts, clockwise the suspension raises yes?
You should also get the acknowledgement on the screen in the dash and the little light on the TR response should also illuminate.
If this isn't happening then you need to go back to your dealer. I'm presuming you are turning and leaving it in the TR setting....

Hi Craig,
Yeah I turn the nob to any of the TR programs clockwise the suspension does not rise and I get a message on the dash screen saying programs turned off.
As far as I am aware, all i need to do is turn the nob to the TR program setting and leave it at the one I want the setting light should turn on and hay presto...
I guess there is something in the 'back end' that for some reason has been switched off....
but yes I will be back on the phone to the dealer tomorrow.

It's a fault. Either Software and/or Hardware.
Almost the first thing the Disco3 shuts off when it runs into an error, is the Specialty Programm (and the Hi/LO gearing).
Only thing you can do is visit the dealer and connect the computer!
Bye,
G.

Hi There,
Just got back from Marshalls in Lincoln (from where I bought my car)
My original problem with the terrain responce selection has been resolved by the dealer,
apparently it was a broken selector wheel thing..
Other issues I had :
Filler flap would not lock = Broken servo / actuator motor fixed.
Front sun roof drips = blocked drainage tubes = fixed.
However... 3 fualts fixed and one new one! great...
On the way up I had the cruise control cut out and the air bag light come on...
I pulled over on the motorway and did a power cycle.
It fixed it...
The deal said it was a disconnected cable.. However 15 mins down the motorway on my way home for a 115mile trip back the light comes back on doh! - I pulled over and power cycled again, the light then came back on after maybe 2-3 mins later...
I got back on the phone to the deal and they will call me back on Monday.
Any ideas what that may be? is it serious? as in... will the airbag go off by itself.. or moreover will it NOT go off in a crash?
Anyway, I am pretty pleased with the service I received as they took all the cost as I am still within my 28 days since purchase.
ps... managed to get 26.7MPG on the way back!
