Hello Jimbo,
I also live in Adelaide, and have had my TDV6 software remapped several months ago by Turbochip (the person is now LR Tuning here), the first in SA. I can see no negative results, and can see several positive results.
Send me an PM email if you want to discuss this further, the only issue becomes keeping the local LR/Prestige/Black Forest lads out of the Engine ECU. Managed so far! Note that the suggested LR remap/enhancement does not do much for the total power output, which LR Tuning's software does as well as addressing the turbo lag at the same time. I have not had the LR "enhancement" done.
Maybe you / we can encourage Chris John from LR Tuning to re-visit Adelaide?? (hint here...)
Cheers,
Geoff Rogers.

Nikademus,
If you want turbochip software in your car
You can contact John Williams in Vermont...he is an autologic dealer recently moved from the UK....all autologic diagnostic tools use turbochip software for the re-maps
His number in Oz is 410 29 33 66

Cool and thx.
I spoke to him and we're orgaising it fo next week.
That number will be 0410 29 33 66 for locals btw,
you have to get rid of the first 0 for OS calls and put it back for domestic (just in case you're giving it out to other locals)
thx again

Chris is John the Australian contact now? I am in Central Queensland and am also interesed in the ECU upgrade. If the upgrade is done through Autologic, is it possible for it to be done through my local (non dealer) Land Rover specialist who runs Autologic on my D3 for my services?
Thanks, Barry.

LRTuning and others...
I read an article about something that Davis Performance Landy's in Sydney has done - and it seemed to include lots of research and dev. Who in melbourne was doing chip upgrades?
And how does it all compare the Diesel Tuning module...
"Expect approx 28kw & 88nm of torque and better economy by about 1.5L x 100km.
It modifies the signal to the fuel rail to suit the exact rpm and engine speed. It gives it more off idle and cuts it back at full speed (good kick right from the start unlike other tuners that just add more fuel) More fuel at higher pressure at certain RPMs and less at other RPMs to provide more power and economy. Re-mapping is simply dangerous to new CR engines as there is around 400 variations of safety features built into the factory computer which I have never seen programmed into flash tuning. Our tuning modules do not effect that." D3 - Buckingham Blue, SE, TDV6, 06 model; chipped; underbody armour; Mickey Thompson ATZ 275/65-18 AND MAXXIS Bighorn muddies; rear wheel carrier from 4x4intelligence.com; iPOD aux connection! GME 3200 UHF - aerial mounted on wheel carrier ; LR roof rails/cross bars; Autosafe cargo barrier, Safari Snorkel; Traxide - aux battery; ARB bull bar with Tigerz11 winch; Lightforce 240 XGT driving lights (mitchell bros tow hitch to come)

Hi LRTuning,
Have you appointed an Australian approved LRTuner?
I'd be keen to get it done, but not if I have to wait a few months for you to return, should the dealer overwrite your programming.
I look forward to your response
