Parking distance control mess up!

My front Parking Distance Control started to beep continuously, I thought I would pop it out to see if there was any water ingress! Big mistake as I pulled out the sensor and pulled out the wrong bit and separated the sensor with the 2 wires coming off in the foam bit in the middle. Not reparable I think!

Time to replace or see the dealer to sort the original problem with my nice face on! Any one know how they come out or had this problem?

My front PDC has had two episodes of bleeping continuously, both times on very wet days.

I put it down to the raindrops reflecting the ultrasound.

Yep, can be caused by ice build-up in the sensor or road dirt & grit, in most cases they will self-clean, has happened to me on half a dozen instances since the winter set in Rolling Eyes think most cars with front PDC suffer the same though, so it's not really unique to Disco3's

Replaced sensor by removing fog lamp (and skin on knuckles!) and all is working!

I've had occasionally had rear PDC problems that were immediately after the LR dealer had washed it. They car was dry, but I suspect the wax/shampoo they use interferes with the sensor. I rubbed the sensors with my finger and the problem stopped immediatelty.
