Extra Seal for Those Who Have fitted RLD Sills - CLOSED
I'm sure we all will acknowledge the excellent job Uncle Ray has done on the Rock Slide Sills (Top Job Ray ), but equally you'll know that because these sill don't have the slight bow which the plastic one do we get dirty/mud/whatever spraying up inbetween the door and sills. To combat this I'm about to buy some Automotive grade rubber profile like that below and fix it either to the door or the sill, this will then seal the gap when the door's closed. Apparently the stuff works out cheaper if you buy larger amounts, so anyone else interested?
Ok Chaps, paddocks charge £2.95 per meter Plus VAT and delivery, I can get it for £2.71 Plus VAT and delivery if we take a 50meter roll. Not a huge saving I'm afraid Having measured the car we need 3.5 meters to do the front and back doors on each vehicle.
Works out at £11.45p per D3
Onward Postage costs:
1 strip - £2.75 1st Recorded or £2.45 Recorded. Just add the appropriate amount to the £11.45 when you send it me
The stuff is in stock and I'll get it with in a day or 2 off ordering, I'll cut it up into 3.5m lengths and we can then distribute it via the usual D3 network or postage if that's easier for some.
As I'm not making a penny on this I also don't want to end up out of pocket, so need 16 sign ups including myself. Start confirming as I'd like to get this ordered and fitted to my D3 before I head up to Scotland next Saturday - that way I can take some up norf for any Scottish buyers.
As I've been asked to provide this information several times since this GB thread closed and I take ages to find the info each time, I've asked the Mods to add it in for me for future reference:

good idea MrH it's worth investing in some fresh fittings for the door mouldings for when doing the job I have discovered though as the black ones always disintegrate on removal... (if you're doing it that way)
standard aftermarket door seal works fine for this job

BM - where did you get yours from, I'll compare prices and then we can go for the heap option. We'll need just under 3.5 meters per vehicle.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

I'm probably not going to be much help on that front I'm afraid as I bought it several years back for an entirely different project but from memory I think it was this stuff from Paddocks:
