The first problem in almost 2 years for my D3 (my2006) 8)
The tank was leaking...it was replaced by dealer
anyone had the same prob? i hope the new tank is an improved version....

Yep, happened to me too.
All under warranty at local dealer, it is a common fault (according to dealer!) and there is a modified design, or at least a batch that do not fail!

Is it the tank that leaks or the filler pipe. when I removed my radiator i had to remove the water bottle filler pipe and was suprised to find that the filler pip just pushes into the tank. Therefore if you fill the tank to the top of the filler pipe and the seal between the tank and pipe isnt right, it leaks Duncan
