Now in the car !!!
I´ll have to take some pictures tomorrow when there is light again.....
Spent all day to build the MOST, enable playback during drive, Alpine 425i, video switch, TV and an extra back row screen into my D3.
I now have the option to:
- TV front and/or back
- Video from iPod to front and/or back
- Music from iPod selectable at SATNAV screen or via IR
Two different video sources on the screens in any combination - sound for back row display when different from front via headphone.
Martin
P.S. to the forum member who developed the interface for DLO home dock I can confirm, that the Alpine uses this interface since it also shows DLO in the upper left corner during boot up.....
I'll be interested to see what items you bought and some pictures.
Well done
Been thinking of buying this unit for a while so be interested in feedback.

I promised pictures - here they are....
Folks....for those of you who are interested....
Locations:
- MOST BOX - right side behind radio (there is sort of a gap below the upper air outlets, just behind the silver (in my case) steams around the radio and SATNAV)
- unlock video during drive - left side behind radio (there is.....)
this is the box for unlocking, the MOST box is about the same size....
- DBV-T, video switch, alpine 425i interface are under right backrow seat - I have a 5 seater, so the seats dont fold down into this area...
video switch under Alpine 425i
DBV-T tuner, just a little bit further down...
- a total of 3 IR receivers/eyes on a & b steams...
- wires go along right side of the car (LHD) permanent taken from fuse box and ignition taken from lighter
- back row monitor mounted on chubby box - folds away infront of middle seat if you want to hide
What it does
Integrates into SATNAV via the main menu TV button. Then it displays whatever source is the current output 1 of the video switch. While the picture is still in the small window, you can use the keypad to navigate iPod or TV - or use the IR remote at any time.
this is video from the iPod on the monitor...
The back row will display any source that comes out of channel 2 from the video switch. so it must not be the same as front, any combinations are possible....
in this case TV...
and here a picture with video in the front and TV in the back. If I use two different sources, the back row will use headphones via IR...
thats all for the moment, if you need more info, go ahead
Martin
BTW - all parts, cables, antennas and 12h of work = 1700 EUR
and no, I don´t need DVD since I have all my media data on hard disk anyway - just 1 step away from the iPod

What are you using to input the signal to the sat nav screen ..is it the most box ?
Is it the one from nav tv ? and does it generate the TV icon on the touch screen ?G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

MOST brings Video and Sound into the system....
Mine is from Ampire.de but from all the pictures I have seen, it´s the same box anyway (except the one from Korea which is not CE certified - which can cause insurance problems....bla,bla). Wanted to use a german distributer.
It does generate the TV icon, so no need to go through the hiden button to select the input. And it does not need any cables to the AUX in. All goes into the MOST.
Martin
P.S. Wiggs, do you have internals on the auto gearbox stick. Mine got loose and the unlock to go over "reverse" is permanently unlocked. There is a white solid cable inside the stick. I understand the upper part. but where does it end and what is below the internal cover ????
P.P.S as far as I understand, you can also attach a reverse camera to the system if you "break" the CAN bus to get the "R" signal to switch the MOST box...

Thanks Martin
I tryed out a simular one for another member who couldnt get it working ..it was the second part ..with the orange most cables ..connected it all up but nothing ...i suspect now that it was due to not having the first part of the interface ( with can bus connectors)
Gearbox stick ..yes i have some info ..there is an adjuster under the car ..send me a pm with an email address and i will send the documents
Also ..do have any links were you got the monitor bracket for the center consul ?G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

this is the version without inbuild DVD, there is one with DVD as well.
Martin
P.S. it´s not the cable to transmit from the stick to the gearbox. I talk about a white plastic cable that goes trough the stich to unlock going over the "R" position and which is controlled by the knob on the front of the stick.

Martin - Id like to ask some questions about this setup
I have a 2008 Ful Size RR with the RSE installed and I also have the video in motion installed so I can watch DVDs on all three screens.
Im looking to get the ipod connected to watch videos - what do I need to do and how hard might it be????
Im assuming
1) Enable TV input somehow
2) KCA 425i (conenctions?)
3) Connect to car?????
Id appreciate any thoughts if you still remember or have this car
