United Kingdom 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Auto Siberian SilverDiscovery 3

Do quite a few of short journeys. Ice on windows etc. Just wanted extra cabin heat. Pulled fuse 28 etc and no workie the seen posts. We going to get pc patch lead to fire up but if the software has been removed the way forward is manual start only me thinks.

This site is a true wonder. With this site in my tool kit . The move from my trusty 300tdi is less daunting.

Phone Module Update Failing / No Audio

After audio failing on the 2005 Discovery 3 and after trying the advice from the forum, I booked the car in to do software updates. I did this because of one thread comment which suggested the phone module as a potential issue, specifically a similar problem that someone had re using Bluetooth. However, the garage was able to identify a fault, but the update persistently failed to complete. They have suggested that the only fix would be to replace the entire head unit. Has anyone had this issue occur, or does anyone have any suggestion on how this might be fixed? My thought being that the inability to do a software update ‘ firmware update is independent of the bug. Perhaps there is some full factory reset that can be performed as is the case with most computer systems - as in a way to start with a clean slate? Thank you.
