LR Experience

Got my voucher through today for my free LR Experience bash, now need to decide which site to go to, the following are all within reasonable driving distance, any opinions on which one I should go to?

CHILTERNS - Hounslow Hall Estate, Milton Keynes, Buckingham, MK17 0BU
SOUTH EAST - Eastwell Park, Boughton Aluph, Ashford, Kent, TN5 4HR
WEST COUNTRY - Wessington Farm, Honiton, Devon, EX14 3NU

MALVERNS - Eastnor Castle, Ledbury, Herefordshire, HR8 1TQ
This ones a bit futher but not completely out of the question and as that's where LR train all the instructors maybe it's the best?

Si

Just done the course - most enjoyable & useful. You'll enjoy it no matter where! Will probably go back for the next stage! Interestingly the instructors all thought the world of the Disco3's abilities off road but were very critical of the pastic trims and also the potential reliability of so much electronics!

I picked up my new D3 in November 2004 and STILL haven't received my LR Experience voucher. I've been bugging the dealer for months about this and they say they have been bugging LR, but no result yet. Is anyone else suffering the same ....?

My dealer said if mine hadn't come through within a month (which it did) to phone LR direct, give that a try as your dealer isn't being much help.

The dealer actually pays LR once you cash in the voucher so they may not put too much effort into chasing it and hope you forget about it.

Forgot to mention that any Caravan Club members can get a half price half day so I'm going to try and upgrade my free half day to a full day and only pay half the extra

It made sense in my head..... Confused

Si, there is only one place to go and that is Eastnor. Not only that you can park in the Eastnor Castle deer park (which is fantastic and you drive through it on the way to the courses) with a caravan for about £6 a night. I was there yesterday. I know the senior instructor and not only is it the best course, it is Land Rovers biggest and best and where some of the military are taught special Landy handling.

Apparently the SAS train there. I spoke to trainers for there and they seemed to think the half day and level 1 were perfectly accepatable at any of the centres - but ~I guess they have to

Yes they do train there, but only for techniques and familiarisation. Did you go down the quarry decent, they have to take you through locked gates to get to it?

Not cheap then - I become less and less convinced that I shouldn't have just gone for a new vehicle - except I would still be waiting. However, I see the Chilterns one in Milton Keynes seems to have a regular supply of "last minute" spaces for about half price. I'm pretty tewmpted...

They often do last minute discount deals, phone up the experience centre you want to go to and see what's on offer

Last minute requests are available occasionally even the day before, but the price will be the same. Re the other centres, I use MK and others in my business and nothing compares to Eastnor.

Night Fox, my parents bought theirs as pre registered and the dealer said they wouldn't get the voucher, but they did! So we are going to put the 2 together to upgrade for less!

Just as a matter of interest have your parents had any problems with their D3, yours seemed fine until you hit around 8000 miles.
