Vibrating door speakers

Has anyone experienced vibration from their front door speakers? I’ve noticed it several times and really noticed it whilst playing a David Grey CD this morning.

I actually think it’s the speaker grill or door panel which is to blame and not the speaker or it’s mounting. There are a couple of tracks on David Grey’s White Ladder which show this up. It’s sort of made worse by long low frequency drones (Sorry David, no offence intended) and pressing on the grill seems to lessen the effect.

Loose speaker grills have caused this problem before apparently. You have a couple of choices - pad them out yourself or take it back to your dealer and let them sort it out.

My front right top speaker had a rattle on bass playback that was caused by the grill. (Simply holding the grill prevented the rattle.) It was fixed by my dealer. I assume they just padded the mounting.

I had similar problems on my previous D3, which went into the dealer for remedy. Was told "some clips had come loose" and they said they had fixed it. Didnt really do the job and the vibration was a permanent feature on certain CD and quite annoying on any radio staion where the bass was more pronounced.

Problem only dissapeared when the car went and this vehicle is fine. Prooves two things:
1. Should be there and isnt nomal so dont blame the CDs (no matter what the dealer tells you about your musical tastes)
2. It can be fixed and surely without the need to pad out.

Just a question. Is it the standard system or the big loudspeakers of the Logic7 system?

Hello,

I have the same problem with vibrating speakers on the front doors.
It appears that not all the bass frequencies are causing the pb,

I have the Logic 7 system.
