That is correct. Only plastic parts were not handled / renewed - the entire door card had to be disassembled into parts, renewed and plastic welded together again. some special material was used to re-cover those parts, will ask the person who did that.
Did you ever got around to asking about the materials?

For plastic welding door-cards from a donor car were used, where needed - actually all door-cards were completely disassembled as cards had number of surface damage. All of these parts were re-covered with the exact same material was used at the factory. I am rebuilding another D3 now - engine is already completed the rest will come and will share some new pictures soon.
