Any gentle off road routes near Killin?

Taking tintent up to Killin [Scotland] end of May.
Anyone know of LEGAL, gentle, off road routes in the area?
Nothing serious as I got my Stormers on and will be on my own.
Just looking for off road ambles away from the A/B roads.

Ron, there are some Green Roads at Killin, not off-road as such but they are lanes which take you up into the hills and through the scenery. More road than off-road so you'd be fine on the 20s. See Tim's post here.

Whilst you're up at Rannoch, have a walk of the Falls of Bruar on the way if you want a brisk walk. Don't try taking the D3 up it though Wink

As I said earlier I'm in the Perthshire area on the Friday so will keep my eyes peeled Thumbs Up

I'm going to drive the Killin to Loch Lomond road in a few weeks so best you're clear of it by then Ron Shocked

Aye and take your wallet with you too for the House of Bruar outlet. Treated the SWMBO to some Scottish cheeses from there as all she thought we made was Chedar Thumbs Up

If your going to the caravan club site at Maragowan/Killin, make sure you take a shotgun for the midges if you pitch up on the river side.

Good tip though [was thinking about pitching by the river] but now will pitch elsewhere.
Whats best pitches away from midges at Maragowan?

Derek, why don't you come down midweek for a drive on the routes [see above posts]?
After all, you don't have one of these midweek 'job' thingies! Wink

Best place to "pitch up" to avoid the midges would be Devon/Cornwall !!!!!
