Hello Eran48:

I think that you car have the "scandinavian mode" in the original programation of the ECU, you can disable it in your dealer by IDS, and to put "normal mode" for the lights, I saw this posibility few time ago in my dealer.

Cheers from Spain.

Hello ruben,

Scandinavian mode? Is it a legal requirement in Scandinavia to have pathways illuminated when visiting unfamiliar houses? Laughing Laughing

Stapldm, our other car is a Volvo too - yes, some bloody Volvo drivers DO drive Land Rovers Shocked Shocked. It is a good way to wipe the permagrin off for when you have other serious business to attend to. Whistle

Cheers

Scandinavian mode and canadian mode both apply to "Day Lighting"...Scan mode is when in any gear other than P...the side lights (parking lights") are on at all times, In Can mode...the low beam are on at all times. I have had Can mode initialised on mine for "day light" use.
