| Lazy dashboard illumination |

The past two cold mornings seems to have thrown up a new fault with my Disco. Haven't seen it mentioned on here before.
First thing in the morning, start the engine & switch the side/headlights on. The dash board lights fail to come on, but do come on of their own accord within 60 seconds. Tested this several times this morning on the 5 minute drive from the hotel to the office. There was definately a delay, similar to the symptoms of a 'sticky' relay problem.
Anyone else suffering with this? Anyone know where the relay is so I can give it a thump 
BTW - Happened yesterday morning and this morning, but last night it worked okay, having been in the office carpark all day.

this was happening to my discovery intermitently but it is not only the dash lights the side lights also do not work. when i switch on the headlights the rear side lights work but no front side lights and no dash lights.
My dealer checked the wiring and replaced the light switch all was fine for ten days but it did it again this morning.
Anyone any ideas?

Have you guys got the auto lights? Mine are auto xenons, and I have not noticed this at all, the only thing I have noticed is the sat nav screen takes a few minutes to adjust to the ambient light.

My navigation screen brightness level starts of on full, then after a few mins seems to dim to the level set by the adjustable switch for the dash lights.
Any amount of adustment from startup is ignored by the nav screen in these first few minutes.
Are we suspecting that the light level sensor for the auto headlights may be controling the nav screen brightness ???

I think this is down to temperature (which affects the LCD operation) and light sensor balancing.
