Battery for D3

Does anyone have any recommendations on a new battery for a D3? I got away with the old one last winter, but I suspect I may have to get a new one this year so any advice would be greatly received!

Yuasa 019 been good in mine, started showing signs of weakness after 3 years, swapped under warranty no hassle.
From Halfords using their discount card.

Previous Exide poor performance from day one, never happy with it.

Be careful that the Halfrauds website doesn't try to underspec the battery. Told me the 019 didn't fit ... it does.

Join their Motoring Club (free version) for free fitting and BMS reset.

Trade card knocks a good amount off too.

Hi,
Ive had 2 Halfords Yuasa batteries, first one went for over 6 years before it died over night, second one is just 1 year old and going strong, would recommend. Very Happy

I fitted Halfords AGM battery AGM019 in May 2019 at a cost of £147.20

It's still working, but I'm not impressed & wouldn't fit another Halfords battery, but would go for Bosch or Varta (manufactured by Bosch).

Thanks for the replies!

Does anyone know what spec Yuasa battery I would need for a D3 Tdv6?

I don’t want them trying to sell me something that isn’t up to the right spec for the job!!

Just ask for a Yuasa 019, or just wander down the battery isle and pick one up.

As for eurocar parts Whistle

Be aware with cheapest batteries. They can have been stored for a long time and it's sometimes impossible to know the date of manufacture. Even with some premium brand...
