Having followed some of this, the more I look at it the more I think that Kai and Maddie are two people that actually need professional help and care.

The UK outlet Express, likely sick of this happening on its own shores and not inclined to be charitable, wrote that the protestors "pleaded for medical treatment because their hands were sore and moaned that they couldn’t go to the toilet." The paper interviewed one protester who said of staff, "They refused our request to provide us with a bowl to urinate and defecate in a decent manner while we are glued," and, "We can't order our food, we must use the one provided by Volkswagen. Lights off. Random unannounced checks by security guards with bright torches."

Seems to me that a moaning type has suddenly found out about the concept of consequences and the concept of planning.
If you glue your hand to the floor, how are you going to go to the toilet? And if your protest becomes prolonged, how are you going to obtain food and water? Would seem to be sensible to take your own bucket along with a backpack containing essentials such as food, water and toilet paper.
They seem to expect that the people they are harassing will phone the police and they can have 5 minutes of fame before going home to congratulate themselves. VW obviously didn't get that email. And so long as VW met any legal obligations they might have then all power to them for making the self-absorbed darlings a little uncomfortable for their cause.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Captain Tom’s daughter and her husband disqualified from being charity trustees
The charities watchdog concluded there had been repeated instances of misconduct by the veteran’s daughter, Hannah Ingram-Moore and her husband, Colin.
Sir Tom became a household name in the pandemic, raising millions for NHS charities by walking laps of his garden in lockdown.
But separately, a £1.4 million book deal and an £18,000 awards ceremony appearance fee were among the financial benefits Mr and Mrs Ingram-Moore enjoyed through their family links to the Captain Tom Foundation.
A spokesperson for the foundation said it is “imploring the Ingram-Moores to rectify matters by returning the funds due” to the charity.

Whilst I liked and admired Sir Tom, I always thought that his daughter was driving this had and had an alterior motive. Obviosly his fame an popularity got to her and her husband and they milked it for what they could.
Personally I'd like the charity to sue the hide off them but realise that could be very expensive. Hopefully public shame might drive them to do the right thing, although I doubt it.
