I removed the electronics module, then removed the electronics from the cover. Cleaned with a good alcohol (I use PVC priming fluid - a 50/50 of Acetone and MEK) on both sides, the piece can be glued back in using 24HR Araldite (super strength I think it's called these days). Build an extra smear on the outside and a good bead on the inside then cure in a fan forced oven starting at 50C and building to ~90C over 4 hours.
Hasn't broken yet.
Of course FBH are as rare as the proverbial rocking horse droppings down here. You guys can probably just pick up a second hand one for 20 quid.
