As I've had this car 4 years, it's getting time I noticed some of it's foibles
Can the map lights be made to come on as courtesy lights when doors are opened? Strikes me it's much better if I can use all 6 interior lights rather than the 2 middle ones.
Is it doable in ccf or will I have to bridge a couple of circuits?.

That’s a good question. Would make a lot of sense, so I suspect the answer is no. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Have you upgraded the bulbs yet?
I have the Powerful UK kit and it's bright enough with just the 2 LEDs
6 would be MY16 Landmark - Yulong White
MY10 HSE - Stornoway Grey

+1 ... replace with decent LED panels and you'll have an abundance of light
I then swapped my map bulbs for red ones which allowed me to pretend I was a submarine commander at night on the M56D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

Changed mine to the LED type and it makes a huge difference. It was an easy upgrade and worth doing.

Is it possible to get 'warm white' LED ones, I find the harsh ones a bit too much. Had them in and swapped back to the old bulbs
Anyone got a link?

You could do it with some diodes.
But it will only make the battery go flat quicker.
Disco has enough lights !
To steal a phrase from the Project Binky boys ... you can NEVER add enough lightness.

If you want to change LED colour get a Rosco Cinegel swatchbook. 150 x 80mm so enough for a couple of interior lights. You can double up pale colours if need be.

They're all LEDs, so should be minimal. I've got a load of diodes somewhere from another "not quite started" project. just need to find them

So you need one diode per reading light
So you find the reading light bulb contact which is + when lit. (the one that comes from the switch I think)
To this bulb contact you connect a diode with the diode band to the bulb holder contact.
The other end of the diode, you connect to the purple wire, that goes to the main bulb.
Repeat for the second reading light.
P.S If you use all 7 seats, I would have thought you would want the rear side reading lights to come on as well ? or is it bright enough back there ?
Ta for the info ... saves me having to correctly remember which way diodes go. In my defense, that part of my life was a LONG time ago.
Might leave the 3rd row reading lights alone BUT I do have a cunning plan for lighting in the boot area. Still have a spare "light sabre" from when DSL (I think) spotted the super-cheap LED light bars in Homebase.
