Disco 3 - Suspension/Traction/ABS/HDC Faults
Hi,
Long time lurker, looking for some help with an issue with my LR3 2010 GS 2.7TD Auto
Dash lit up like Christmas tree, transmission, suspension etc faults, reduced traction etc.
I have successfully got all these lights off with a steering angle calibration and hard reset, about 2 weeks ago.
However the battery went flat, and the vehicle was jumped, which didn't help.
Now I have all these lights, suspension down, no special programs and almost nothing but U errors to go on.
The main issue shows as the All Terrain Control Module, which has 3 U errors:
U0416-94 - Invalid Data received from Vehicle Dynamics Control Module
U0403-94 - Invalid Data received from Transfer Case Control Module
U0421-94 - Invalid Data received from Ride Level Control Module
These will not clear.
We put a new battery on it and now I see other faults:
Transfer Box Control Module:
P0560-00 - System Voltage
U3003-62 - Battery Voltage
Battery is new, 13v ignition off, 14.13v with engine running.
I've replaced the brake light bulbs, checked and cleaned the brake light switch, calibrated the steering angle sensor, checked the fuses.
I'm pulling my hair out.

FIXED
This was caused by corrosion on the control module behind the battery.

Happens quite often….
Tcm module is not waterproof by any means.. and sits straight under the bonnet corner, where the rubber schrinks due to age and it pours down straight in that module….Best regards

So, check and reroute the bonnet seal…
As if it leaks there and it seems like it… it wil happen again, or worse..
Like this… (burnt chip above/right side)

Well. I only bodged it today.
I had to piggy-back a wire from inside the control unit and splice into the loom after the plug as it had snapped inside the control unit socket. (You can just see it in the picture)
I roughly cleaned up the connectors hoping it would solve the issue.
(Which it did)
I plan to obtain a unit I can remove the connector from, transfer to mine. Solder 2 plug ends on. Sort the sealing on the box.
I wish I didn’t like the thing so much.

I may have attempted to repair yours.
Mine had some green oxidation around those ICs and a couple on the left of the board.
I cleaned em up, covered in some sealant.
Sadly no gas for soldering iron so it was a proper bodge, winding the wire to the back of the plug tight.
Doesn’t have to do anything, so just to prove the fix though.
