FBH Metering Pump part number or place to buy

So ive narrowed down a fbh fault to being the fuel pump that sits near the gearbox.

I cant seem to find it on advanced factors or britparts.

Does anyone know a part number or possible location to buy?

Found a similar looking one on ebay but wasnt sure if it was identical. The part looks pretty generic (though i could be wrong).

Many thanks

Bob

It might be cheaper elsewhere, but doubtful.

I tried a generic unit on my FBH test rig, it would not work. I think you need the specific pump for Thermo Top V, even original pumps for different models are not compatible.

Correct. Thumbs Up

The dosing capacity differs between pumps including Webasto, so it must be the specific pump for TTV.

Thankyou for the information everybody. Very useful.

wasnt expecting it to be so dear! looks so innocent!

Ive emailed the ebay seller thats selling them for 99.99, but the thing that worries me is the big label on the yellow sticker saying "do not use with thermo top v" ! Hopefully they are just using generic stock photos, but it does bother me!

Otherwise its looking like the lrparts site is the cheapest at 150!

If is says do not use for TTV then you have your answer?

I never fit or advocate used parts but you could try used parts specialists or breakers, they rarely give trouble and so a used one should be fine. Thumbs Up

Hi

My apologises as indeed I thought that was a generic picture , did see the part number JEX500020 which I assumed would be ok, however the other members are considerably more knowledgeable than myself

Can I ask why you think the pump has failed?

It looked like the unit had quite high useage on terms of hours on the unit according to the software . I know the was from Scotland previously in its life so many cold mornings perhaps resulting in the pump getting worn out? Who knows. I'll have a better idea when I remove it .

If you are using the WTT software you should be able to see the pump operating. If not there will be a fault code logged. No fault code = pump is OK. It's operation can be further confirmed with diagnostic the priming cycle. Remember it's a dosing pump, so you can't apply continuous power to it!

Do you have any fault codes?

Yeah so tried a couple of times things. First time using the software so wasn't sure.

Tried manually controlling it by clicking the parking heater function which showed everything working bar the pump.

And also tried testing it individually in the diagnose component function .

Got the fuel pump button to turn yello for a brief second but nothing in the green horizontal bar.

Fault said something like (forgot to save it) metering pump interrupted fault.

Are you able to test the wiring from the FBH to the pump for continuity? It could be a fault with the wiring rather than the pump itself.

IIRC someone on here had such a problem with the wiring and ended up running a new bit of wire which solved the problem.

Cheers
Mark
