Umm interesting .
Will have to check that out. Although electrics are not my forte .
So basically I'm assuming I need to use a multimeter to see if there are any breaks in wire to the pump? I'll need to test at the plug to the pump, to the correct pin in the plug on the actual pump. Anyone know whicj pins feed the pump ?2008 Discovery 3 xs 2.7 TDV6

You can also test the resistance of the metering pump between the supply line and ground from the connector end, as outlined in the Thermo Top V service manual

Hi, Apologies for jumping in on this thread. Has anyone got a picture of the FBH fuel pump LR068412 in position at the fuel filter. My D3 is 2008. I took the whole filter assembly with pipes off to fix a broken pipe, but I failed to take a picture before I dismantled it. Now I cannot figure out where the pump attaches to. Its cold and dark under there at the moment , I left it hanging on with cable ties. Then I noticed it was sparking as it needs a grounding when the FBH is on. Pulled the FBH relay for now.

The FBH fuel feed is not connected to the fuel filter assembly!
It comes directly from the fuel tank module to the fuel dosing pump located on the chassis crossmember. The pump has a bracket attached which is bolted to the crossmember with a single m6 bolt. The feed pipe from the fuel tank is connected to one end of the dosing pump, and a delivery pipe for the FBH is connected to the other end. Both pipes are the same diameter at around 4mm.
I assume you have the main fuel filter lines reattached, so is it possible for some reason you pushed the FBH delivery pipe out of the way when removing the filter assembly?
Sorry I can't offer something more specific but I'm not clear on exactly where your problem lies since the FBH fuel lines are not part of the fuel filter assembly.
The pic below shows the main connections for the filter assembly as seen from above with the body removed. The 90 degree yellow line connector on the left, and the straight blue connector on the right, with the additional blue "T" line connection located just beneath it if you zoom in!
(note the FBH delivery pipe snaking it's way from the fuel tank to the FBH dosing pump which is hanging freely in front of the crossmember.)

Thx Prof. It all makes sense now. I had to repair the filter connector so took the whole filter housing out. I disconnected the FBH pump for some extra room so I could reach it from below. At the time I did not know what it was, I do now. Many Thx Graham

I am still trying to fit this FBH pump. Has someone got a picture that shows it from these two pictures point of view. ProfG kindly showed me a view from the top but I cannot make sense why my pump bracket does not fit. The cold Covid, Brexit, Ukraine is all affecting my brain.

The pump bolts onto the bracket which itself is bolted on top of the chassis crossmember, it's to the right of the fuel filter as you look towards the rear of the car. If you can't see the hole in the crossmember use a mirror.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

It bolts to the area on top of the crossmember as seem in the second pic!
